Before Midnight!

OMG!

The third installment in one of my all-time favorite movie series, if not my number one all-time favorite, is coming out in May. I might crap myself. Or I might have already. Either way, the excitement is intense and I am giddy! One more thing to add to the list of reasons I want it to be spring!

Okay, since I am so obsessed with these movies... I must give a very brief synopsis of the trilogy. Basically what happens is that these two people--Jesse and Celine--first meet each other randomly in Vienna and spend one full evening/night together (first film). They have a major connection and agree to meet again in six months... only *spoiler alert* it doesn't happen.

9 years later, Jesse runs into Celine in Paris, where she's living and he's promoting a book he just wrote (second film). We find out that Jesse has since gotten married and Celine is also in a relationship; yet their intense connection is still there. At the end of both of the movies we're left wondering whether they'll get together or not.

And now--SQUEE!!!--the third film is on its way! I can't even tell you how stoked I am. Like seriously, you have no idea.

The cool thing about these movies is that they are actually filmed nine years apart, so you really feel as if you're witnessing a real-life love story as it's happening. Ugh, genius. My heart is crying with joy.

Anyways... Here are some non-Before Midnight pictures!

The main thing on my mind (other than that) is getting a tattoo. I sincerely do not believe I will ever get a tattoo. But if I did, here is what I've been looking at.

TRAVEL-THEMED

(because of my obsession with planes and airports)

(because i love the water so much)

 (because... it's london)

 (because... it's europe)

(because when i went to texas i was the happiest i have ever been in my life)

(because i really like the look of old-fashioned bikes; they remind me of road to avonlea)

 (because i have wanderlust)

(because my future husband is absolutely going to be a skater)

(because these look like power lines... road trips are amazing)

(because the world map is cool, especially in brown ink)

 (because travel is awesome)

(because pete makes paper airplanes, and also, again, because of my airplane obsession)

(because paris is one of my favorite cities in the world; i wouldn't get the empire state building)

DISNEY-THEMED

(belle speaks my language in that movie)

(i want the carriage picture with the horses and coachmen, but probably not the quote)

 (yoda... nuff said)

(i think this looks pretty cool, plus one of my three fave disney movies as a kid)

(i liked the look of that scene in the movie too)
(just cute, plus it reminds me of eggs' and my goal of going back to california)

 (coolest tattoo ever)

(again, just want the carriage but not the quote)

(alice in wonderland was trippy and fun)

(cinderella represents a lot of dreams for me)

(i love their chemistry in the movie)

(from willy wonka and the chocolate factory)

 (you can fly...)

(rose from beauty and the beast)

OTHER ENTERTAINMENT-THEMED

 (love tetris)

(from gilmore girls, one of my three favorite shows)

(my family is big into cards)

(my family is also big into yahtzee)

(my yahtzee nickname is horseshoe hess because i am so lucky at it... i kid you not)

 (granny loves doing puzzles)

 (music = necessary)

(from almost famous; cameron crowe's films always really resonate with me)

(from a short story, i want the quote "of cabbages and kings")

(a great lyric from the rolling stones song gimme shelter: "war, children, it's just a shot away... love, sister, it's just a kiss away")

(i don't like the font, but i love ryan adams)

(ryan adams and the cardinals' logo)

 (hehe. dwight.)

RANDOM-THEMED

(love the simple look of a few dots; it could mean anything you want it to, too)

(this represents graduating university for me, since the ampersand was a symbol we had to use often in sentential logic; it reminds me that i can conquer things that are hard for me or that i don't particularly want to do, but have to do... plus the ampersand is a great looking symbol)

(one of w.h. auden's poems is based on this painting, and one of my favorite lines from that poem is "everything turns away quite leisurely from the disaster." i would write that underneath that tiny picture below the sailboat--it's icarus' leg sticking out of the water, which you cannot really see here--because that is the incident he's referring to in the line, to icarus is falling from the sky and no one really noticing it, no matter how earth-shatteringly awful it was for the person involved)

(i love how these random numbers look)

 (location is awesome)

 (haha. oh yes i would.)

(another w.h. auden line, but mostly i just like the design)

 (super cute)

 (white ink tattoos look cool)

(i want a roman numeral, plus i like this location)

 (interesting locations)

(a rosary, because i am catholic)

(i like the look of this)

 (again, a cool location)

 (really awesome look)

 (great font)

(i like the simplicity of just a small, perfect circle)

 (love that font)

 (that is a great look)

(kind of cool, plus i love water)

(this would remind me to face my fears, since i used to be afraid of spiders but i am not anymore... but i wouldn't get it there, nor would it be even half that size)

 (cute symbol for christianity)

(no meaning, i just love how it looks)

(i am a huge fan of writing, especially with typewriters)

 (trees are cool...)

 (a nice simple cross)

(i want one with just a glass of water half-full; i think it would be interesting and weird and pretty)

Well, I am dead-tired and I have a full day of homework ahead of me tomorrow, so that is all for now!
Have a great weekend!
:-)
