Wedding Bells!

Eggs here. No, I didn't get married this weekend. I did, however, go up to Grande Prairie (my hometown!) for a family friend's wedding. Long story short, I grew up with this family and it was destined to be a weekend of celebrating and drinking.

Friday

Wine, wine, more wine and some champagne. I was in bed by 11. Typical!

Saturday

Wedding Day! Started off with getting my hair did. The hairstylist knew about the wedding and cuts hair for most of the people I know in GP. Go figure!

I find out I am an usher at 11am. Good thing I had my hair appointment early enough, have to be at the house for 1:15. Reported for duty. Did what I thought was a decent job and sat down as the ceremony started. Short and sweet it was.

They were lucky to have the backyard for this wedding. Perfect weather and backdrop for the occasion.
Madeline looked absolutely gorgeous! thank goodness the girl has height on her (and heels) because the groom is 6'7!

Post wedding cocktails including some wine and martinis.

Now off to the hall.

More wine, some beer and of course, Jager shots! It wasn't your typical reception though. No wedding cake and no tossing of the garter or bouquet. Felt odd but it worked for them.

I failed at taking a "first dance" photo but he was about to kiss her forehead here. (note his hand on her ass too!). He out right yelled about finally being done the dance but little did he know he had to dance with his mom next. Quite funny.
Carson and I. We later on shared a good cry. He was one of my brother's best friends. Still hits home for him too. The alcohol didn't help though...
Post Jager shot photo here. oh dear. I think there was about 15 of us toasting the bride and groom on this round.
I think this is photo attempt #5 for Jordan and I. Between him getting cut off for being too tall or one of us blinking...
Carson, myself and Colby.

Love these guys, as much as I never get to see them, I know they will be there for me. Now off to Vegas in April for Colby's wedding! Now that will be a gong show...
